Firefox 3 Beta 1 Using 700Mb+

Wow just wow! I loading up Firefox 3 Beta 1 today. It felt so much faster when I loaded up digg. But after about 2 minutes of usage, it crashed. Took me awhile to get the Task Manager opened, and after I did, it scared me.

It’s just a beta version. I’m filing a bug report, and hopefull that should be fixed. For now, I’ll stick with Firefox 2.

    The significiant speed improvement was really impressive. Most people have reported good experiences with it, so I’m assuming I’m just an isolated case.

    I’m not sure on RAM usage but for a beta… they still have some work todo. We were promised native controls. That’s missing and the UI is bad.

    Wow. That’s ridiculous. But, 3 is still deeply in beta testing I hear. It’s not going to be released until well into 2008, right?

    Bah. When I tried Firefox 3, it worked fine, but it disappeared when I tried to scroll with the middle mouse button.
    It was my first bad experience from beta software, actually…
