Slacking Off
Yup, I’ve been slacking off these few days on blogging. Actually few weeks ![]()
I’m just going to talk about what I’ve been doing lately.
- 1. Reading regular blogs and visiting regulars forums (RSBandB, Lifelesspeople.com, Namepros.com, Retect.com)
- 2. Just basically adding new features everyday on Retect Forums. I’m planning for a major recode on all the hosting system and maybe even cash mod if needed. The whole purpose is probably more efficient code and easier to implement new features. I would be grouping things into different functions and everything will be easier.
- 3. Namepros.com – Just looking on there for interesting PHP/mySQL coding jobs to make off some money. That’s probably what I’ll do for the next few years
- 4. Lots of school work, main reason I’m slacking off
- 5. Found out the problem that went wrong with my Windows not booting. It was actually a memory module problem even though it didn’t even seem like it.
So heres the big problem, suggestions, help, anything please say.
I have PC that was built half a year ago had no major problems with it until lately. A huge problem over this weekend.
It is an Intel P4 1.7Ghz with 512MB RAM (started only showing 256MB a few days ago). About an year old ASUS motherboard, I’ll have to check the model later.
Suddenly one day, I couldn’t boot into Windows on my 60GB hard disk. Rebooted about 50 times, still the same error. “Windows could not boot due to an error in /WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG”(translated from chinese to english, may not be so exact).
I thought, fine, i have all my important stuff on my D partition, i can just go use a linux live cd and get all the stuff out. Tried Austrumi, DamSmallLinux, Ubuntu 5.10, Kubuntu 6.04, SLAX. All appeared the about same error, “Kernel Panic, could not kill init!” while loading.
So I said fine, I’ll just delete Windows and reinstall again. I passed the Windows install disk setup and it went into a blank black screen. Waited for 30 mins, no clue. Tried like 3 times, still nothing.
Then, I got my another 6GB hard disk which had a fresh copy of Windows XP that i install abou two weeks ago. Thought I might as well boot in that copy of Windows and get my files out from my old hard drive. guess what? Same exact error as the 60GB hard disk.So please help. I’m going to try reinstall Windows on that 6GB hard disk and see if that works. If it doesn’t I’ll go to my next step, install Linux on first the 60GB, if doesn’t work, 6GB.
Above quote is just my post asking for help on some l2p.net
- 7. Finished my science fair project. What a relief
I hope I get into the fair
Wow, there’s probably tons more, but that’s good for now
Oh by the way, I might be getting a new domain soon.
More to come hehe
