New Domain
Yay I’ve finally acquired jeffchan.net just a few minutes ago. It’ll redirect to jeffchan.org for now until I figure what to do with it. If you see this post and it doesn’t redirect, you need to flush your DNS cache.
I’ve been looking at this domain ever since it first expired in June. Most of you don’t know, when a domain expires, it goes through a very lengthy process before it actually becomes available. This domain was actually first released to what are called “back orderers” September 6th. A site parking site picked it up right away and dropped it a few days later. Then, another parking site picked it up right away and dropped it as well. What’s going on here is that they are testing to see if this domain gets any traffic. So during this period, I avoided directly going to “jeffchan.net”. You want to avoid giving them any traffic.
I didn’t really want to go with the .org back when I first created the site. But at that time, someone had this domain without any use. So I’m still thinking about whether to move everything to the new .net.
So now here it is in my hand, muhahah
